Summary
Dewiayuni Edi Rianto, a mother of three young boys including one with autism, shared how the KidSTART Sparkle Homes initiative has transformed her family’s home and daily life.

Raising her sons -Muhammadil Mateen (7), Muhammad Adeel Zafreen (4), and Muhammad Adzriel Daffa (2) - was challenging, with clutter and fatigue making daily routines difficult. Through KidSTART, Dewiayuni received both practical and emotional support from practitioners who monitor her children’s development and provide parenting guidance.

As one of 260 beneficiary families, she received $1,500 in financial assistance, which she used to buy a refrigerator, wardrobe, and study table. These additions improved home organisation and encouraged her children’s independence - especially her eldest, who has begun following his siblings’ routines. She also observed progress in her middle child, Adeel, who has become more expressive and confident.

Dewiayuni credited KidSTART practitioner Jessica Chan for her consistent encouragement and tailored developmental advice, including educational toys for her autistic son.

Her story highlights the impact of KidSTART’s holistic approach, which combines financial aid with emotional and developmental support to help families build nurturing, stable homes for their children.
