About the programme

How the programme supports a pregnant KidSTART mother’s journey?
Stage 1
Prenatal pack for mummy

Participants will receive a prenatal pack with nutritional and essential items to support mummy through pregnancy.

Stage 2
Prenatal and Postnatal workshops on maternal mental health and baby budgeting

Participants along with their spouses, partners or caregivers will be invited to attend a prenatal and a postnatal workshop on mental wellness and baby budgeting. The workshops will end with a grocery shopping session at a nearby supermarket.

The mental wellness workshop will help mothers better understand their own thoughts and feelings toward the changes ahead in welcoming a new family member, empower them with skills and wellness practices to manage the overwhelming feelings. Spouses and partners who attend will also learn how they can better support mummy this period.

The baby budgeting component of the workshop will help parents know more about existing financial support from the government, and how they can make wiser decisions about budgeting for baby, family and daily essentials.

*Participants should attend one session before giving birth and one session after giving birth. The content will be slightly different between the pre and postnatal workshops.

*DBS Foundation and KidSTART Singapore will be carrying out surveys at the end of the postnatal workshops to help us better understand if the support you’ve received throughout the initiative is helpful and useful. This will also allow us insight into how to adjust the programme to better suit your needs.

Stage 3
10 days of confinement meals

Mummies will receive 10 days’ worth of confinement meals delivered during lunch and dinner. Delivery addresses and dietary preferences will be collected in the enrolment form.

Stage 4
Breakfast for Little Champions and Transition to Solids Workshop [Only for Enrolment Cohort 1: 10 July 2025 to 31 Mar 2026]

[Only for Enrolment Cohort 1: 10 July 2025 to 31 March 2026]

As part of a pilot extension and enhancement to the programme, we are providing additional nutritional support for mummies in this enrolment period and their babies up to the year they turn 2.

*We will update should the extension of support be applicable for Enrolment Cohort 2 and 3.
