Volunteering with children is incredibly fulfilling. It allows me to witness the transformative power of kindness firsthand. Each smile on a child's face is a vivid reminder of the joy and hope we bring into their lives, reinforcing the positive impact we can make together.

Seeing the smiles and relief on the faces of families when they receive these distributions fills me with gratitude and motivates me to continue helping. It’s a privilege to be part of their journey and support their well-being.

In my first year volunteering with KidSTART, I’ve learnt how much joy and impact comes from giving back to the community. Through volunteering at kids' events, I’ve had a chance to meet new people, make friends, and see the smiles on children's faces. It was a wonderful experience for my son to be involved in different types of volunteering as well, which I believe had a positive impact on him and helped him understand the value of helping others.

It has been an enriching experience for me ever since I joined KidSTART Singapore as a volunteer. Being able to partake in the meaningful activities has brought much joy and fulfilment to me. I am humbled to be in a position where I can contribute and make a difference to the lives of those who I interact with.

My biggest takeaway after becoming a part of this community is helping the families and children as well as making new friends. Positive actions bring Positive change. Volunteering with KidSTART Singapore is a great way to bring Positive change to people, communities and society. Helping children and families gives you a chance to give back to the community or make a difference to the people around you.

Always find a cause you’re passionate about. Once you have found that, you cannot wait until you’re “free”. You have to make time, you have to be intentional in setting aside time for them. And because the cause is close to your heart, it won’t be a chore at all.

I have always enjoyed volunteering. It makes me happy when I can connect with families and support KidSTART’s programme. It gives me meaning and purpose knowing that I am able to contribute to the people around. My spouse and friends have also joined me in this cause, and we always look forward to the smiles on children when we see them during each distribution drive!
